About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Resident Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. In this critical role, you will assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing large-scale Building projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Assist in managing day-to-day construction activities, coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations
Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and material samples
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and technical correspondence
Collaborate with the project team to resolve design conflicts and construction-related problems
Assist in contract administration, including change orders, payment applications, and claims management
Ensure adherence to local building codes and regulations specific to Kuwait
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and team members
Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff
What we need from you
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum 15 years of experience, including 3 years as Deputy Resident Engineerin civil engineering projects, with a focus on large-scale Building/infrastructure
Valid membership with the Kuwait Society Engineers (KSE)
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices
Familiarity with building codes and regulations, particularly those applicable in Kuwait
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Technical report writing and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
