About the Role
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in a safety-focused environment. The role works with Aerial Work Platforms, construction tools, generators, pumps, HVAC, and oil/gas equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel equipment and specialty line equipment.
Use hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting fundamentals to diagnose and repair issues.
Maintain safety standards and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Provide mechanic tools of trade as needed.
Adapt to changing priorities and work flexible shift schedules.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty line equipment strongly preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations).
Bilingual Spanish or other language may be required based on location.
Physical ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 lbs or more, and work indoors/outdoors.

Compensation Base Pay Range: $24.05 – $33.06 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on location, education, training, and experience.
