Field Service Technician – The Verdin Company
Join The Verdin Company, a 180+ year leader in cast bronze bell ringing systems and decorative outdoor clocks. We are looking for a full-time Field Service Technician to travel to customers to install, troubleshoot, and maintain bell and clock equipment across Indiana.
Responsibilities
Travel up to 50% overnight; up to 1 day drive; flexible schedule. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain bell and clock towers, climbing ladders up to 40 ft and using boom, scissor lifts. Diagnose mechanical and electronic equipment; program electronic controls using manuals and technical support. Lift and carry equipment up to 60 lbs.; use rigging, scissor lifts, boom lifts. Present a professional customer face; communicate confidently and courteously. Document field work clearly in end‑of‑work reports. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with electronics or electromechanical equipment. Experience in rigging, construction, or metal fabrication is a plus. Self‑starter who works independently with minimal supervision; creative problem‑solver. Military experience welcomed. Compensation
$28.00 to $32.00+/hour, potential for adjustment based on experience and qualifications. Bonus opportunities and overtime available. Location
