Overview The Senior IT Business Analyst serves as the critical link between business stakeholders and the software development team. This role ensures that functional, system, and process requirements are clearly defined, documented, and communicated to drive successful technology solutions that meet organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Act as liaison between the customer community and IT development teams, ensuring alignment of business objectives with technical solutions.
Lead requirements‑gathering activities through interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, workflow analysis, and use case development.
Evaluate and synthesize information from multiple sources to develop a deep understanding of client business needs.
Translate business requests into detailed application and operational requirements that guide development and implementation.
Partner with stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure solutions meet business goals.
Provide leadership in project initiatives, guiding cross‑functional teams and mentoring junior analysts.
Support testing, implementation, and change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT, with a focus on complex enterprise systems.
Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects, facilitate workshops, and manage stakeholder expectations.
Familiarity with business process modeling, workflow analysis, and use case development.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other software development methodologies is a plus.
