JR100163**Job Title**Registrar Technician - BCSO**Pay Rate**United States of America (Hourly)**Time Type**Full time**Summary****Duties and Responsibilities:*** Prepares, updates, and changes schedules for all educational programs in the Adult Detention Center* Enters, updates, and maintains database of inmate’s academic records* Drafts moderately complex letters, memos, and reports* Administers, scores, and documents inmate assessment testing* Disseminates information to teachers as needed* Responds to general and complex questions and complaints regarding department* Assists with preparation of supply budget* Orders supplies, fixed assets, and printed materials* Assists in preparing monthly reports for school districts as required* Performs general administrative/clerical tasks; such as copying, answering telephones, maintaining files, and distributing mail as needed* Performs related duties as required**Minimum Qualifications:*** Graduation from High School or a General Education Development certificate, and three (3) years administrative experience in an office environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience* Proficient knowledge of English usage, office procedures, and mathematical computations* Basic skill in operating personal computer, office software, and other office equipment* Proficient ability to accurately enter date and file information, work independently, to organize, compile and record information accurately, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees, and the public* Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance* Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test* May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek**Working Environment and Physical Demands:*** Working conditions are inside an office environment* Occasionally moves items weighing up to 10 pounds* Occasionally moves about the office* Frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information* Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery* Positions self to perform essential functions* Must be able to remain in a stationary position**Working With Bexar County**Bexar County offers employees a competitive salary, retirement, and benefits.
