Summary
Manage inventory and job-related materials while maintaining appropriate inventory stocking levels. Document projected and actual receipt of inventory, manage its storage/use, and track certification data while reporting accurate inventory stocking levels.
Essential Functions
Determine the inventory levels of all raw materials to keep on hand.
Work with the purchasing manager to order the correct amount of raw materials and coordinate deliveries.
Determine by usage, lead time, etc. the raw materials to keep on hand.
Physically receive materials ensuring the quality and quantity of materials is correct. This includes raw materials and finished goods.
Scan raw materials out of inventory to the correct project, ensuring the correct quantities and raw materials.
Monthly physical inventory and research of variances.
Back up responsibilities for the logistic coordinator.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of three years of experience in the purchasing/inventory field. Steel industry experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Intermediate computer skills including MSOffice suite with strength in Excel.
Supervisory Responsibilities N/A
Work Environment Office/Plant environment. Noise volume varies from loud to normal. Position works part-time in the manufacturing facility including dust, fumes and heat.
