General Summary & Scope The Task Associate (TA) supports sales drivers and operational excellence, ensuring fixtures are stocked, store cleanliness is maintained, and tasks are completed as assigned. The TA works with the Merchandise Manager and Operations Manager to meet performance metrics, foster a positive people environment, and adhere to operating procedures and compliance standards.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s retail goals by ensuring all tasks are executed as planned and product is available for purchase.
Meet compliance and execution goals related to the task dashboard and ensure the timely completion of all operational processes, including shipment and replenishment, merchandise sets, and inventory counts.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests.
Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education, to enable continuous professional development and drive sales performance.
Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and shipment processing using Ulta Beauty’s technology.
Drive operational excellence by keeping the assigned work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensuring testers are available.
Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness, including sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break area.
Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Execute other operational tasks as directed.
Job Qualifications Education
High school diploma is preferred.
Experience
1 year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is preferred.
Skills
Proficient with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to problem solve.
Special Position Requirements
Work a flexible schedule that may include early morning shifts, days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
Working Conditions
Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift.
Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during shift.
Continuous and/or frequent lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to 25 lbs. during shift.
Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift.
