Flynn Group entered the Panera system in 2015 with the acquisition of 47 cafés. Since then, we have more than tripled in size to become the 2nd largest Panera franchisee in the world and continue to grow by building new stores and acquiring other franchise operators.
Flynn Panera is a franchisee of Panera Bread. The company follows a decentralized business model, with each geographic area led by a Market Leader. Reported to the Market Leader are Area Directors, who oversee multiple unit operators and the overall functions of the cafés in their areas. General Managers are the chief café managers responsible for the overall running of the cafés, assisted by Assistant Managers who handle departmental daily management. Team Managers round out the café leadership.
Position Description Our Panera Bread cafés are upscale, friendly destinations featuring baked breads, pastries, made‑to‑order soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages. We operate in a grease‑free, alcohol‑free environment with no late shifts, focusing on quality and service.
Managers oversee up to 75 staff members, ensuring a top‑quality service experience for guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a role‑model and lead the team.
Ensure that team members provide great customer service.
Take ownership for the business performance of the restaurant.
Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment following all safety and sanitation standards.
Run quality opening, mid‑and closing shifts to ensure a consistent positive customer experience.
Coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
Greeting customers and performing table visits to ensure satisfaction.
Recruit, train, and motivate staff.
Assist the specialist within the bakery‑café, ensuring team members are properly trained to deliver all aspects of food service.
Ensure objectives are achieved within company guidelines and ethical practices.
Exhibit a professional image and embody our values and beliefs.
Education and Experience
At least 1–2 years of hospitality experience.
Food management certifications are a plus.
Demonstrated “Run it Like You Own It” mentality.
Excellent organization, customer service, and time‑management skills.
Proven track record for leadership.
Passion, energy, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work under pressure and with a diverse group of people.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
