Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and trends to identify areas for improvement.
Manage inventory costing, valuation, and reconciliation, including cycle count adjustments.
Prepare detailed cost reports and analyses for management decision‑making.
Investigate and explain production cost variances against standards and budgets.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts related to manufacturing costs.
Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of progressive cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Proficiency with SQL for data extraction and analysis
Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
