Behavioral Health Technician – Residential Treatment Facility
Granite Recovery Center seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct support to clients and the Clinical/Operations Team at the facility.
Role and Responsibilities
Provide supervision and support to clients at the residential treatment center.
Assist and monitor clients during self‑administration of medication.
Offer guidance to clients using the 12‑step recovery model.
Conduct random urinalysis drug testing 2–3 times weekly and as outlined by procedure.
Observe and verify urine sample collection by same‑sex staff.
Document results of each sample and obtain client signature and date on the form.
Maintain records of urine submissions and medication self‑administration data.
Contact the Clinical Director and Residential Director immediately if a conflict arises regarding urine testing or medication administration.
Report any unusual client behavior or suspicious activity to the Clinical and Residential Directors.
Maintain high standards of ethical conduct and adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements.
Comply with all policies and procedures.
Follow established standards of hygiene and universal infection control procedures when handling samples and supplies.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of behavioral health experience (preferred).
Valid driver’s license.
Minimum age 18 years.
Current certification in medication self‑administration procedures (provided by the facility).
Successful drug screen and criminal background check.
