Human Resources Assistant
This full‑time position (30 hours/week) serves as the Human Resources Assistant reporting to the Human Resources Director and assists employees, prospective employees, applicants, and other guests with general and employment‑related inquiries. It includes processing paperwork for various HR functions and completing routine office duties such as filing and reconciling invoices.
Responsibilities
Greet applicants and provide them with information regarding the employment process during onboarding.
Maintain the onboarding process for all new hires—including sending background checks, onboarding documents, and processing new hires in HRIS; assist with New Hire Orientations and Trainings.
Oversee employee file maintenance and record keeping; upload and scan employee documents in HRIS and correct any discrepancies found during monthly audits.
Maintain current and accurate job listings online (CHC website and other employment sites).
Update the phone directory as needed.
Monthly reconciliation of benefit invoicing.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Two years of college or comparable experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two to three years of administrative experience in an office setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Experience with payroll platforms.
Accurate typing and filing skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent grammar, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
A high level of initiative and the ability to multitask.
Ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team.
Ability to show discretion and maintain confidentiality.
