Building Engineer
to join their on-site facilities team in
Los Angeles, CA . This is a
full-time, on-site position
operating
Monday-Friday 6:00am-3:00pm
with the availability for overtime. This position starts as a
1-month contract
with the potential to extend and pays
$34-38.50 per hour
based on experience. The Building Engineer will support a light production and studio environment within an office campus and will work a standard shift following an initial week of day-shift training. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong technical skills who can handle daily building operations, respond quickly to maintenance requests, and ensure smooth facility performance.
Responsibilities
Respond to building system issues, including electrical outages, HVAC, plumbing, and chiller support.
Perform routine maintenance on generators, cooling towers, and other equipment.
Complete and email nightly shift reports.
Use CMMS and building automation systems to track work orders and system performance.
Collaborate with a small team of engineers to ensure safe, efficient operation of the property.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; trade school preferred.
4-5 years of relevant building maintenance or engineering experience.
Electrical or HVAC certification required.
Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and CMMS software.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills
Troubleshooting experience with HVAC and electrical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot computer/technical units.
Carpentry or general maintenance skills a plus.
