Overview Workday HRIS Analyst

Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

Monday-Friday; Hours vary.

Location: Downers Grove, IL

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Workday HRIS Analyst to support, maintain, and optimize our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This role partners closely with HR, IT, Payroll, and other stakeholders to ensure data integrity, system efficiency, and continuous improvement of HR processes through Workday configuration and reporting.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday HCM and related modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Time Tracking, Payroll, Recruiting, Learning, and Expenses.

Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday business processes, security roles, calculated fields, and condition rules.

Support HR operational processes including employee lifecycle events (hire, job change, termination, etc.).

Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics using Workday reporting tools.

Manage system updates and releases, including testing, documentation, and user communication.

Triage and respond to inquiries received through the HR email inbox, resolving Workday-related issues directly or routing requests to appropriate HR or functional teams as needed.

Troubleshoot system issues, investigate data discrepancies, and provide timely resolutions.

Partner with HR and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain documentation, job aids, and training materials for Workday users.

Support integrations between Workday and third-party systems (e.g., payroll vendors, benefits providers, expense providers if applicable).

Qualifications Education

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field required.

Experience

Hands-on experience supporting Workday HCM in an analyst or administrator role required.

Strong understanding of HR processes and data structures.

Experience with Workday configuration, business process frameworks, and security administration.

Proficiency in Workday reporting (standard, advanced, and/or composite reports).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $67,000-101,000, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
