The Human Resources Generalist performs professional-level HR work with a primary focus on part-time hiring, HR records management, HRIS data accuracy, and employment transaction support. Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment and onboarding for part-time, adjunct, temporary, and student employees, and may include full-time faculty or staff recruitments during peak hiring periods. The role emphasizes problem-solving, timely and accurate communication, and collaborative, professional relationships across the campus. Essential Functions

Part-Time, Temporary, and Student Hiring (40%) Coordinate and process recruitments for adjunct, part-time, temporary, and student workers. Review applications, screen for minimum qualifications, and support hiring committees. Prepare job postings, route requisitions, and ensure timely completion of hiring documentation. Facilitate interviews and communicate with candidates, ensuring compliance with District hiring standards. Full-Time Recruitment Support (10%) Conduct full-time faculty and staff recruitments when workload requires delegation from the HR Generalist Senior. Support job posting development, screening processes, search committee coordination, and candidate communication. Ensure all recruitment steps comply with District policies and employment law. HR Recordkeeping, Documentation, and Compliance (15%) Ensure accuracy, completeness, and retention of HR files and personnel records according to District policies. Audit onboarding materials, employment forms, and personnel data for compliance and completeness. Support regular HR documentation audits and reporting requirements. HRIS Data Support, System Cleanup, and Position Attribute Alignment (15%) Partner with the District HRIS data team to resolve workflow issues, correct employee data, and improve system accuracy. Identify discrepancies in position numbers, job data, and position attributes and ensure alignment with approved classifications and job structures. Conduct recurring data audits to support position management and employment transaction accuracy. HR Data Reporting and Analytics (10%) Extract, compile, and analyze HR data for internal reporting, compliance, and planning. Support leadership with employment data for operational decisions, audits, and mandatory reporting. HR Operations, Customer Service, and Generalist Support (10%) Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries regarding HR processes, policies, and procedures. Provide onboarding support and assist with new-hire processing for all employee groups. Assist across HR functional areas such as classification requests, leaves, or training logistics as assigned and consistent with the Generalist classification level. Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree from a regionally accredited institution in a related field and two (2) full-time equivalent years of work experience in one or more areas of human resources, including talent acquisition/recruitment. OR Associate\'s from a regionally accredited institution in a related field and four (4) full-time equivalent years of work experience in one or more areas of human resources, including talent acquisition/recruitment. OR High School Diploma or G.E.D. and six (6) full-time equivalent years of work experience in one or more areas of human resources, including talent acquisition/recruitment. Desired Qualifications

Three (3) or more years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, such as job posting, applicant screening, selection and assessment, interview coordination, reference checks, and hiring actions, ensuring compliance with policies and employment regulations. Experience working with HRIS platforms, such as Human Capital Management (HCM) systems. Demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy and integrity of position and job data. Demonstrated experience with developing metrics and outcomes reporting utilizing HRIS systems, Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Excel). Experience in higher education or public-sector HR Professional working experience in partnering with Executive leadership and various levels of managers and supervisors on recruiting, selection, and hiring processes. SHRM, HRCI, or related certification Special Working Conditions:

Standard office environment requiring extended periods of computer work, managing deadlines, and handling confidential information. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required during peak hiring periods. Occasional travel to other MCCCD sites. How to Apply
