The full pay range for this role is $23.00 to $48.00 per hour, and the good faith estimated starting pay for this position upon hire is $26.00 to $40.00 per hour. Salary decisions are based on factors including experience, education, performance, internal equity, and geographic location. Summary

This position, under specific direction from the site manager or leadership designee, performs supervised or unsupervised field maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on one or more types of renewable energy generators. The scope may include full system installation, commissioning, maintenance, system performance evaluation and troubleshooting of power and energy systems. Training & Location

Required Training: Each Renewable Energy Technician attends a mandatory five (5) week training and certification course at the start of employment. Training is in Albert Lea, MN; travel, accommodation, and expenses are provided. This position is on-site and based in Silverton, Texas. Responsibilities

Core Role Responsibilities by Level The level of autonomy, technical complexity, and leadership responsibility distinctly separates the four technician roles. Role Primary Focus On-the-Job Autonomy & Leadership Technician 1 (Entry-Level) Assists experienced technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Focuses on learning and applying safety protocols. Works under specific direction and direct supervision. Technician 2 (Experienced) Performs preventative maintenance independently and conducts routine troubleshooting, repairs, and minor upgrades. Responsible for independent preventative maintenance. Participates in a 24-hour "On Call" rotation. Technician 3 (Senior) Performs unsupervised routine and corrective maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and leads teams on routine tasks. Unsupervised execution of all corrective/preventative maintenance. May train and oversee Techs 1 & 2. Technician 4 (Expert/Lead) Performs unsupervised advanced corrective and preventative maintenance and leads major repairs. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME). Trains and signs off on the competency of Techs 1-3. Assists with overseeing site crews/contractors in manager absence. Shared Responsibilities (Applicable To All Levels) Adhere to all safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, and lead site safety assessments. Maintain company property and equipment safely and responsibly. Accurately complete all administrative work, including daily maintenance logs, work orders, time tracking, and warranty/inventory documentation. Attend all required safety and technical training. Maintain the highest level of system integrity and support site budget control by seeking efficiencies. Technician 2, 3, & 4 participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for system monitoring and fault identification. Technical & Leadership Responsibilities As technicians advance, the complexity of their required skills and leadership duties increases. Knowledge/Skills Basic computer knowledge; ability to follow instructions. Basic knowledge of schematics, multi-meter use, and electrical/mechanical components. Deep competency in generation theory. Advanced knowledge of electrical safety, arc flash standards, and NEC. Proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools. Advanced working knowledge of solar industry best practices and the ability to coach, instruct, and train less experienced technicians. Advanced testing capabilities and the ability to perform live electrical work. Certifications & Other Must meet Qualified Electrical Worker standards. Required: OSHA 10, GWO BST/BTT/CoHE, GWO Slinger/Signaler (if applicable), NFPA 70E/70B. Same as Tech 2, plus deep competency in system software and industry standards. Same as Tech 3. Must possess a valid driver's license (all levels). Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

These conditions are applicable to all Renewable Energy Technician levels. Field work: 100% in the renewable asset field for Techs 1-3. Tech 4 may spend about 20% of time in the office. Work at height: climb ladders, stairs, and structures to heights over 300 feet and work at those heights and in confined spaces. Conditions: extreme weather, electrical-mechanical environment with high voltage/stored energy. Lifting: regularly lift up to 35 pounds and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Wind-specific: maximum employee weight must not exceed 285 lbs due to fall-arrest equipment. Seniority level
