Responsibilities

Monitor safety and compliance.

Lead quality initiatives.

Facilitate shift briefings and kickoff meetings.

Supervise, evaluate, and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products, and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements.

Walk the floor (Gemba walk) to ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching and standardized work.

Verify lines are running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts.

Manage workflow optimization.

Drive continuous improvement to exceed personal, team, and company goals by holding self and team to high performance standards through servant leadership.

Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union members, and management teams.

Establish and actively participate in employee resource groups.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

2 years of supervisory and manufacturing experience.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends.

Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations.

Bachelor’s Degree in safety and quality experience.

Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified.

Knowledge of constraint management principles.

Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.
