Trailer Mechanic – R+L Carriers
We have an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our West Sacramento, CA Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.
Job Type:
Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, various shifts.
Pay:
$34.62 to $38.75 per hour.

Responsibilities A detail-oriented and self‑directed contributor to maintain, troubleshoot, repair and diagnose a variety of commercial trailers, in auditable local and National documentation standards.
Requirements
Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and preparing safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or local regulations.
Able to interpret technical manuals.
Experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems.
Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and ensuring work meets manufacturers’ specifications and legislated regulations.
Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs.
Manually able to lift 50 lbs.
Own own tools.
Dependable and able to work in various climate conditions when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
Welding.
Experience driving yard tractor/trailers.
Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles.
Sheet metal and composite panel repair.
