R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our West Sacramento, CA Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements

Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations

Must be able to interpret technical manuals

Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems

Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations

Experience in trailer PMs and repairs

Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Must own your own tools

Must be dependable

Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred

Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System

Welding

Experience driving yard tractor/trailers

Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles

Sheet metal and composite panel repair
