Position ROW Closing Assistant – Memphis, TN
Responsibilities
Research, review, and complete title reports.
Research, draft, and review warranty deeds, easements, leases, sub‑leases, and releases (partial and full).
Review and analyze title reports, mortgages, liens, property descriptions, and legal descriptions.
Identify title defects and curative requirements, and take actions to clear title curatives.
Escalate title issues when necessary.
Close acquisition and relocation parcels and deliver warrants.
Minimum Requirements
Experience comparable to a paralegal or title agent in real‑estate transactions.
Three or more years of right‑of‑way, title, paralegal or real‑property law experience.
Proficient in researching, reviewing, and analyzing title reports and related documents.
Understanding of property description principles (parent parcel, metes and bounds, subdivision).
Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and document work accurately.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Technical Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to prepare clear reports and correspondence.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS mapping, reading roadway construction plans, deeds, and plats.
Other Qualities
Good driving record.
