As a member of the Actuaries team, you will perform technical, analytical, reporting, and support functions, collaborating with peers and management to help the actuary and health‑informatics departments meet market and financial goals.

Qualifications

Passed at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam; preferably completed SOA VEE requirements.

Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills; displays curiosity.

Business sense, including finance, accounting, economics, statistics, and risk‑management principles.

Effective verbal and written communication.

Ability to work independently and in teams.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and coding (e.g., SQL, SAS, Alteryx).

Knowledge of insurance company functions, operations, and data.

Experience with AI tools highly desired.

Additional Requirements

Actuarial Assistant

In process of completing, or completed, requirements for Associateship in the Society of Actuaries (ASA).

Actuary Associate

Completed or in process of completing ASA requirements with equivalent actuarial experience.

Responsibilities

Actuarial Analyst Assistant / Associate:

Acquire skills in Office Suite, health‑plan data, and coding for model development and data queries.

Create, maintain, update, and review data queries and models; recommend methodology or process improvements.

Prepare, update, and review regular work products, including project code, analytic models, data visualizations, and associated documentation; collaborate with peers.

Assemble deliverables for customers and draft responses to customer questions.

Perform peer review of technical work products and acceptance testing of new reports, programs, and models.

Meet project deadlines and inform manager of progress.

Manage study time and contribute to personal development plan.

Assistant Actuary:

Manage regular team projects, work plans, and documentation; collaborate with peers; delegate to junior team members.

Develop new methodologies; recommend improvements.

Present results to customers; develop written responses to regulator or customer questions.

Actuarial Analyst & Actuary Associate:

Develop new methodologies; recommend assumptions or process improvements; perform actuarial certification duties.

Present results to customers; develop written responses to complex regulator or customer questions.

Perform peer review of work products and understand risk level; ensure compliance with applicable Actuarial Standards of Practice.

Manage work and study time; develop and document work plans.

Work Environment

Travel may be required locally or out of state.

May be required to work outside of normal business hours.

Salary ranges (depending on role):

Actuarial Analyst Assistant: $76,500.00 – $103,500.00. Bonus target 10%. Full salary range $72,000.00 – $117,000.00.

Actuary Assistant: $92,650.00 – $125,350.00. Bonus target 10%. Full salary range $87,000.00 – $142,000.00.

Actuarial Analyst Associate: $83,300.00 – $112,700.00. Bonus target 10%. Full salary range $79,000.00 – $129,000.00.

Actuarial Analyst: $92,650.00 – $125,350.00. Bonus target 15%. Full salary range $87,000.00 – $142,000.00.

Actuary Associate: $110,500.00 – $149,500.00. Bonus target 15%. Full salary range $104,000.00 – $171,000.00.
