ES Scoring Assistant – History – MA (Remote)
Join Pearson’s Evaluation Systems team to score Massachusetts teacher candidate responses for History and Middle School Humanities. The role is remote and offers flexibility in scheduling.

Overall Responsibilities
Evaluate candidate responses to state test questions.
Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities.
Recognize and discuss various types of bias (implicit, cultural, leniency, central tendency, halo) and implement strategies to reduce personal bias.
Meet quality and productivity requirements, including passing a qualifying test before scoring.
Working Conditions Scoring sessions occur two weekdays per month from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m., including training. Training and a brief orientation are provided before scoring.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Current History or Middle School Humanities teaching license and recent experience teaching History at the middle or high school level, or recent college‑level teaching experience in the field.
Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse).
Ability to sit for extended periods and maintain confidentiality.
Eligibility to work in the United States.
