Auditing Clerk
JBS & Associates Accountants & Consultants, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Auditing Clerk to support our audit and accounting team. The Auditing Clerk will assist in reviewing financial records, preparing audit documentation, verifying data accuracy, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for individuals with strong analytical skills and an interest in accounting and auditing.
Key Responsibilities
Assist auditors in preparing and organizing audit files, reports, and supporting documentation
Review financial records, invoices, receipts, and statements for accuracy and completeness
Verify data entries and reconcile discrepancies in financial records
Maintain audit schedules, checklists, and working papers
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
Perform basic accounting tasks such as data entry and record updates
Communicate with internal departments to obtain required financial information
Maintain confidentiality of financial and client information always
Support audit planning and follow-up activities as needed
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and auditing procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to analyze data and identify inconsistencies
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
