Financial Controller
We are a growing startup looking for a highly hands‑on, detail‑oriented Controller to own our accounting function end‑to‑end. This role is critical to the business and will work directly with the CEO, serving as the financial backbone of the company.
Base Pay Range $150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial statements
Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
Prepare and present financial statements, variance analyses, and insights directly to the CEO
Establish, improve, and document accounting processes, controls, and close checklists as the company scales
Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and day‑to‑day accounting operations
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management
Coordinate with external partners including tax preparers, auditors, and advisors
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax and regulatory requirements
Assist with special projects such as system implementations and operational analyses
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a startup or small business environment
Proven track record of owning and executing a clean, efficient book close
