Insurance Verification Representative FT ROC

Responsibilities
Performs duties related insurance verification for all facilities at STHS. Verifies insurance plans, calls insurance companies to obtain benefits and pre‑certification within 24 hours of admission (except patients admitted on Fridays and weekends). Ensures case managers receive an online verification form notifying of any clinical pending or days approved for pre‑cert. Communicates effectively with the case management department. Creates patient registration records by interviewing the patient or responsible party to obtain identification and demographic information. Communicates STHS financial policies to patients and collects patient portions. Qualifications
1–2 years of medical/healthcare business office experience. Excellent customer‑service skills. Computer skills. Good verbal communication skills in English/Spanish. Commitment to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; attendance at required training and immediate reporting of suspected compliance issues. Education / Licensure
