Key Responsibilities
Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet production demands and minimize carrying costs.
Oversee the entire procurement process, from supplier selection to contract negotiation and order placement.
Develop and implement robust material planning strategies using MRP/ERP systems.
Lead, mentor, and develop the materials planning, purchasing, and warehousing teams.
Collaborate with production, sales, and engineering to ensure accurate forecasting and material availability.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material flow, logistics, and supply chain efficiency.
Monitor and report on key materials KPIs, including inventory turns, lead times, and cost variances.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
Proven proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced planning tools.
Strong understanding of inventory control principles, production planning, S&OP processes, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
Proficiency with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Experience with global logistics and international trade compliance
