This hybrid position offers a unique blend of clinical practice and operational leadership within a high-performing orthopedic group. Ideal for an advanced practice provider who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, this role presents the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while driving clinic efficiency and excellence. Specialty : Orthopedic Clinical Duties
Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical exams, and evaluations for orthopedic conditions including spine and foot/ankle. Order and interpret diagnostic studies including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and lab work. Design and implement personalized, non-surgical treatment plans such as bracing, physical therapy, and medication management. Perform or assist in procedures including joint injections, splint/cast application, and wound care. Provide pre- and post-operative education, suture/staple removal, and recovery follow-up. Clearly document all patient interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR) and ensure effective communication of treatment plans to patients and their families. Other duties as assigned.
Operational Leadership
Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations to ensure optimal patient flow and team coordination. Serve as a critical liaison between surgeons, clinical staff, external vendors, and hospital systems. Lead quality improvement initiatives, workflow optimization efforts, and policy updates. Coordinate surgical scheduling, imaging protocols, pre-op clearances, and insurance authorizations. Manage patient communications and triage ongoing care and follow-up needs. Train, support, and mentor clinic personnel including medical assistants, surgery schedulers, and administrative staff. Monitor and report key clinic performance metrics (e.g., patient volume, wait times, documentation timelines). Partner with executive leadership to implement new programs and operational initiatives. Ensure regulatory compliance including OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable state/federal healthcare standards. Represent the clinic in strategy sessions and cross-functional meetings.
Required Qualifications
Active California Nurse Practitioner license with Master\'s or Doctorate in Nursing. National board certification (AANP or ANCC). Furnishing number for prescription writing in California. Current BLS and ACLS certification (preferred). Minimum of 2 years’ experience in orthopedics, particularly in spine, joints, sports medicine, or foot/ankle. Proven experience in clinical operations, leadership, or practice management.
