Accentuate Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Junior Accountant
for our client in
Raleigh, NC 27617 . This role is ideal for a college graduate with 2–3 years of accounting experience who is looking to build a strong foundation in general accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with financial accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
Assist with daily accounting activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist in preparing financial statements and internal reports
Review transactions for accuracy and proper accounting treatment
Help ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and internal controls
Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues
Perform ad hoc accounting and financial analysis as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Working knowledge of GAAP principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred)
QuickBooks experience required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Internship or public accounting experience
Exposure to month-end close processes
Experience in a corporate accounting environment
