Safety Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
What You’ll Do
Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the ASU, ensuring that production goals and safety standards are consistently met.
Supervise, train, and mentor plant operators and other staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
Support in the execution of plant projects, including upgrades, equipment installations, and process optimization.
Interpret engineering drawings, such as HMB, PID’s, and PFD’s as they relate to the air separation process.
Act as the lead member of the Quality Control Unit, responsible for training all facility personnel on QMS and process‑related procedures.
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma or GED. Technical degree is preferred.
5‑7 years of experience in an operations, technical, or management role within a continuous process plant. Industrial gas industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of safety regulations and operational best practices.
A general understanding of and experience with instrumentation, electrical, and control systems.
Nice to Haves
Experience with tools and equipment necessary for repairing and replacing mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
Experience working independently to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve issues with process and plant equipment.
