Position Summary Construction inspectors support clients by acting as trusted on‑site agents throughout all construction phases—from pre‑design to close‑out. As a Construction Inspector, you will serve as the inspector for new construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.
Essential Functions
Observe, inspect, and document construction activities as an Owner’s Representative.
Complete Daily Inspection Reports accurately to record work status and non‑conforming activities.
Ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and permit requirements.
Record any field changes on the project’s record drawings.
Coordinate with third‑party testing firms for concrete, soil, and weld testing.
Notify contractors immediately of all new Change Orders and Time‑and‑Material work, maintaining daily tracking and signing tickets.
Assist Environmental, Health, and Safety personnel with site safety verifications and document concerns.
Coordinate with client staff, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout the project.
Qualifications Required Experience
Experience delivering or supporting technical inspection work in construction, including specifications, drawings, and documentation.
Accreditations and certifications through ICC, ACI, and AWS (preferred but not required).
Experience working with municipal agencies or utility infrastructure organizations.
Required Skills
Proficient with web‑based construction document management platforms.
Excellent team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Skilled in building relationships, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams.
Strong oral and written communication, self‑motivation, team‑oriented work practices, and data analysis and technical problem‑solving skills.
Proficient in preparing reports using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Physical ability to move around an active construction site.
