Responsibilities As a Liberty Military Housing Maintenance Supervisor, you will manage maintenance operations for a multi‑family military residential community. Your duties include supervising Service Technicians, Groundskeepers, and Housekeeping personnel to repair and maintain HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, plumbing, cleaning, and grounds. You will also perform general and specialized maintenance and repairs, lead and motivate staff, and ensure all work meets our quality standards.
Plan, schedule, and supervise the maintenance staff’s daily activities, including maintenance, installation, repairs, service requests, and clearing of common areas.
Hire, train, develop employees, and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety practices.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for installation, maintenance, and repair work.
Maintain the department budget; ensure all projects and scheduling stay within guidelines.
Prepare specifications for major planned projects, solicit bids, inspect vendor work for quality, and ensure cost compliance.
Purchase and order maintenance supplies, materials, and appliances cost‑effectively; maintain inventory.
Ensure service requests and maintenance projects are completed accurately and timely.
Conduct regular safety inspections, correct unsafe practices, and train staff on safety and chemical handling.
Comply with all OSHA safety regulations, federal, state, and local laws, and LMH’s standard operating procedures.
Operate a company or personal vehicle for work purposes.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years related experience, 2 years in a supervisory role (property management preferred).
Proven ability to effectively supervise and lead a team.
HVAC and EP A certifications preferred.
Advanced knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care, and appliance repair.
Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Basic computer skills (mobile device, PC).
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle or electrical cart.
Availability for regular on‑call work, emergency calls, off‑hour work, and overtime.
Ability to reach the property for service requests within 60 minutes.
Ability to travel to other regional locations for training and meetings.
Physical capacity to lift up to 65 lbs, frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and extensive walking and standing; ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Willingness to work in indoor & outdoor environments, all weather conditions, and potentially hazardous conditions.
Ability to safely perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
