Job Posting Metro Transit is seeking a Revenue Mechanical Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of revenue collection equipment on transit buses and at garages. This role focuses on maintaining fareboxes, Ticket Reading/Issuance Machines (TRiM), bill and coin validators, cash boxes, vaults, bins, and Go-To card readers. The technician is responsible for routine and non‑routine repairs, calibration, removal and installation of equipment, and replacing worn consumable parts. Duties also include clearing jams, processing collected fares, and coordinating repairs for components sent to off‑site service centers. Accurate documentation, adherence to security procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment are essential.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED with one year of relevant mechanical or electronic repair experience, or an associate/vocational degree in a related field. A valid driver’s license is required.
