Job Overview
Metro Transit is seeking a Revenue Mechanical Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of revenue collection equipment on transit buses and at garages. This role focuses on maintaining fareboxes, Ticket Reading/Issuance Machines (TRiM), bill and coin validators, cash boxes, vaults, bins, and Go-To card readers.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and non‑routine repairs, calibration, and removal/installations of equipment.
Replace worn consumable parts and clear jams.
Process collected fares and coordinate repairs for components sent to off‑site service centers.
Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to security procedures, and ensure a safe work environment.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED with one year of relevant mechanical or electronic repair experience, or an associate/vocational degree in a related field. A valid driver’s license is required.
