Production Senior Associate (1st Shift) – Vertiv
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety‑focused Senior Production Associate to support manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for executing complex production tasks with minimal supervision while serving as a subject‑matter expert in production processes and equipment operation. The Senior Production Associate demonstrates advanced technical knowledge, precision, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain a positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal.
Perform advanced production tasks including equipment setup, material handling, and product assembly.
Interpret and work from technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of production requirements.
Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production and process issues; escalate complex issues as appropriate to support teams.
Maintain detailed, accurate production records including quantities produced, materials used, and any deviations from standard processes.
Collaborate with peers, supervisors, and support teams to meet daily production goals and quality standards.
Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures and actively contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Support cross‑functional activities such as equipment maintenance, quality inspections, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
3–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team‑oriented environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on production experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
Physical & Environmental Demands Team members must routinely lift up to 50 lbs. and carry objects over distance. The role requires standing for extended periods, bending, twisting, squatting, climbing ladders, and using hand tools requiring manual dexterity. Operation of material handling equipment may be required. Ability to work in manufacturing environments where temperatures may occasionally exceed 100°F or fall below 32°F.
