Job Summary The ERP Fleet Program Manager serves as a subject‑matter expert (SME) for Vista Viewpoint ERP capabilities related to equipment and fleet management and is the primary contact for all ERP‑related program activities throughout MasTec Energy Solutions. The role ensures standardization of data capture, reporting, and workflows within Equipment Management, Job Cost, and accounting modules. The Program Manager acts as a liaison between Fleet Operations, Accounting, IT, and ERP support teams and is responsible for processes that ensure data accuracy, module integration and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Serve as the ERP subject matter expert for Equipment Management, Job Cost, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Purchase Order modules.
Responsible for configuration, optimization, and standardization of ERP processes to support accurate cost tracking, equipment utilization, and financial reporting.
Develop and maintain company‑wide ERP data governance standards related to equipment, cost types, and equipment revenue.
Coordinate closely with Fleet, Accounting, and IT to ensure Vista Viewpoint workflows support business needs and audit requirements.
Manage system set‑up for new equipment categories, rates and equipment cost ensuring alignment with corporate financial standards.
Partner with Fleet Operations to ensure accurate recording of usage, repairs, and transfers across Vista modules.
Oversee ERP integration points between Vista and other systems such as GPS Insight, maintenance platforms, and business intelligence tools.
Troubleshoot, data validation, and reconciliation across sub‑ledgers (AP, EM, JC, GL) to ensure financial integrity of the equipment cost.
Develop documentation, SOPs, and training materials for ERP users across the Fleet department.
Stay current on Trimble Viewpoint updates and emerging ERP technologies to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Support project initiatives including ERP upgrades, module rollouts, and automation of manual processes within fleet.
Special projects as assigned by the Fleet Directors or Business Intelligence manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing ERP systems, preferably Trimble Viewpoint Vista, Oracle Fusion or similar (SAP, JD Edwards, etc.).
Background in utility construction, fleet management, or heavy equipment operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL‑based reporting.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional projects and collaborate across departments.
High standards of accuracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Qlik.
Experience managing vendor relationships and supporting ERP integration.
Physical Demands and Work Environment This job operates in a field environment. The role routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting. The role also demands working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind. Lifting up to 50 pounds is required. Adequate vision is needed at 20‑foot range or 20‑inch range, as well as precise hand‑eye coordination and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
