Join Siemens, a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. This role is for the Prefab team in Wendell, NC, and offers the opportunity to work in electrification & automation.
Position Overview This Mechanical Assembler III role involves assembling and wiring LV MCC breakers, structures, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders; performing sub-assembly tasks, including mechanical assembly, control wiring, power cable work, and interconnection of control wires; reading BOMs, layouts, assembly drawings, and wiring instructions; using tools accurately; maintaining safety standards; and supporting process improvement.
Shift Hours & Compensation Second Shift:
3:00 PM–11:30 PM Third Shift:
11:30 PM–7:00 AM
Hourly Rate: Second Shift:
$22.46 + $1.00 shift differential Third Shift:
$22.46 + $1.50 shift differential
Note: You will train on the 1st shift for a period of time at the manager’s discretion before moving to the 2nd or 3rd shift.
Qualifications
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and identify mechanical parts and electrical components.
Extensive experience using hand and power tools (pneumatic and battery-operated), torque wrenches, and measuring devices such as tape measures.
Ability to lift parts or sub-assemblies up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Proficient in English (read, write, speak) with a strong background in quality and efficiency.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.
Experience with CNC machines.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Forklift driver experience.
SAP experience.
