Job Overview A leading transactional practice is seeking a highly qualified associate with 6+ years of experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation to join its Entertainment and Intellectual Property group in Los Angeles, California. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with deep experience in copyright, IP licensing, tech transactions, or entertainment deals who want to work on complex, high‑impact matters.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate commercial contracts related to copyright and IP licensing
Provide strategic counseling on copyright matters to a diverse client base
Assist in developing compliance strategies under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
Support litigation teams on infringement and rate‑setting matters
Negotiate content licenses and structure innovative business models for clients
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation
Experience in copyright, IP licensing, tech transactions, or entertainment deals
Familiarity with music, entertainment, and/or content industries preferred
Admission to the California State Bar in good standing
Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail
Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
