Job Description Provides front office support for the hospital department.
Skills And Abilities
Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public; excellent telephone skills
Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrates effective response to patient crisis/emergency situations
Strong priority‑setting and organizational skills
Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
Basic administrative skills
Education/Certifications/License/Degrees
Ability to read, write legibly, and converse effectively in the English language
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of basic medical terminology class preferred
Experience
One (1) year clerical experience in hospital or medical front office preferred
