LSU Health New Orleans Division of Auxiliary Enterprises (Book Store) is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Administrative Coordinator 2.

Under minimal supervision from the Assistant Manager and Manager of the Health Science Bookstore, incumbent in this position will perform highly responsible financial tasks, including sales and the proper handling of assets. Duties will include purchasing, stocking, and merchandising of all food and snack items on a routine basis, in addition to other select merchandise. The position will also provide customer service support to faculty, staff, and students of LSU Health New Orleans.

One year of experience in administrative services.

Experience Substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties

Operate cash registers with the highest degree of accuracy and accountability on the internal point of sale system.

Communicate regularly with supply vendors regarding the ordering of snack/drink items, in addition to front of store merchandise and student name tag orders.

Monitor the status of all outstanding purchase orders.

Answer customer questions related to merchandise items and assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise.

Assist with set up and distribution of all student kits and cap and gowns.

8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday

Compensation:

Starting rate is $12.03 per hour with an additional $1 Longevity Pay for hours worked only. Rate may be increased dependent upon applicants' qualifications.

Pre‑employment Drug testing and Criminal Background check are required.
