Job Summary The Talent Assessment & Development Senior Manager leverages expertise in assessment and industrial/organizational psychology to design, develop, deliver, and manage talent programs and processes that build a high‑performing, inclusive culture and accelerate leadership and manager capability. This role partners with HR, business leaders, and cross‑functional teams to ensure talent initiatives are evidence‑based, strategically aligned, and drive measurable impact through robust assessment and data‑driven insights.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of talent and culture programs using validated psychometric tools and assessment methodologies

Develop competency models, behavioral frameworks, and assessment strategies aligned with organizational goals

Translate business objectives and stakeholder feedback into program frameworks and assessment protocols

Build and curate talent programs, assessment resources, surveys, and measurement tools for diverse audiences

Develop and refine talent management processes, integrating I/O psychology principles and best practices

Collaborate with internal and external experts to co‑create and validate assessment instruments and models

Pilot new talent initiatives, gather feedback, and iterate for continuous improvement and scientific rigor

Deliver and facilitate talent development programs, including assessment‑driven programs using various methods (in‑person, virtual, blended), ensuring engagement and adoption (e.g. assessment debriefs, follow‑up development planning and coaching)

Manage the implementation and ongoing administration of psychometric assessments

Oversee program logistics, communications, and stakeholder alignment for successful implementation and sustainability

Monitor program and assessment effectiveness through data and feedback, making evidence‑based adjustments to maximize impact

Manage vendors and other external parties

Build partnerships with HR, business leaders, and employees to understand needs and drive adoption of assessment‑based programs

Serve as a subject‑matter expert on psychometrics, assessment, and I/O psychology, fostering a culture of evidence‑based talent management

Benchmark assessment practices and talent models against industry standards, introducing innovative approaches to the organization

Provide expert consultation and advisory support to teams and business units on the selection, design, implementation, and interpretation of assessment tools and psychometric methodologies

Advise stakeholders on best practices for assessment design, data analysis, and the application of I/O psychology principles to inform talent decisions and enhance organizational effectiveness

Qualifications

12+ years of experience in talent management, assessment, psychometrics, or organizational psychology

Master’s or PhD in I/O Psychology, HR, Organizational Development, or related field

Experience designing, validating, and implementing assessment tools and competency models

Experience designing, delivering, and managing impactful talent and culture programs at scale

Experience evaluating and selecting external assessment tools to ensure alignment with organizational needs, scientific validity, and best practices

Experience conducting vendor reviews, piloting assessment solutions, analyzing psychometric properties, and making recommendations for adoption and integration into talent programs

Experience working with cross‑functional teams and senior leaders in complex organizations

Pay Range

United States - Other posted locations not specifically listed: $136,000 - $204,000 USD / Annual

United States - CA Non‑Bay Area, AK, CT, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, VA, WA: $150,000 - $224,000 USD / Annual

United States - CA Bay Area: $163,000 - $245,000 USD / Annual

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI: $136,000 - $204,000 USD / Annual
