About the Role We’re one of the world’s largest providers of transportation and logistics services. Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit manages the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment, utilizing a global network of distribution centers and innovative technology.
Job Summary The Distribution Supervisor I operates a warehouse with inbound and outbound freight shipments that are processed within a short timeframe. The role supports business products by collaborating with vendors, customers, and other internal support groups for the movement of international and domestic air and ocean shipments. The supervisor monitors and manages facility performance to ensure materials are processed in a timely manner and meet customers’ requirements.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily facility activities related to loading and unloading containers, pulling orders, freight sorting, customer support, facility inspections, and handling employee concerns.
Evaluate and correct the performance of team members, coordinate work across the organization to optimize efficiency.
Make key workforce decisions (hiring, onboarding, transferring, disciplining, directing, developing, rewarding).
Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinate activities with other supervisors.
Use policies, procedures, and the local business plan to guide problem solving.
Additional Criteria
Job Grade: 20D
Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or be willing to self‑relocate.
Operations Experience – Preferred
Leadership Skills – Preferred
Healthcare Experience – Preferred
People Management Experience – Preferred
Helix / Softeon Skills – Highly Preferred
Schedule flexibility may be needed depending on business needs.
Working Hours Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM
