Job Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering patient care under the direction of the Physician. The LPN is an integral part of the health care team to provide the highest quality of care, preparing and assessing patients for provider visits, observing, recording, and reporting patient responses.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with physicians and other health care team members to meet patient/family needs.
Implement the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
Appropriately label and package specimens as trained.
Assist in providing indirect care through various clerical or administrative duties as assigned by the registered nurse.
Act as a chaperone for health care providers during patient examinations as requested.
Assist provider with procedures, treatments, and interventions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Certifications
Active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure or LPN applicant.
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
Experience
One year of clinical patient care experience (preferred, not required).
