Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Women's Health
Mercy Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high‑quality patient care in our Women’s Health program at the Lima Medical Office Building, 830 W High Street, Lima, OH.
Office location(s): 123 N. Charles St, Lima, OH; 830 W High St, Lima, OH.
Job Summary: The LPN works under the direction of the Physician and is an integral part of the health‑care team. The LPN prepares and assesses patients for provider visits, observes, records, and reports patient responses to medical care.
Essential Functions
Collaborates with physicians and other health‑care team members to meet patient/family needs.
Implements the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
Appropriately labels and packages specimens, as trained.
Assists with indirect care through clerical or administrative duties assigned by the registered nurse.
Acts as a chaperone for health‑care providers during patient examinations as requested.
Assists provider with procedures, treatments, and interventions.
Other duties as assigned.
Certifications
Active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure or LPN applicant.
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
Experience
One year of clinical patient care experience (preferred, not required).
Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care to patients of all ages.
Ability to learn and use a computer‑based patient appointment scheduling and registration system.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a team.
Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills.
