Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies.
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures across the facility.
Conduct EHS risk assessments, hazard analyses, and regular inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Manage emergency preparedness and response plans, including drills and equipment maintenance.
Monitor EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Recommended Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems.
Proven ability to lead incident investigations, conduct risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are highly preferred.
Bonus Qualifications
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
Experience implementing or managing EHS management software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera).
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement methodology experience.
Experience managing EHS programs across multiple manufacturing sites or in a corporate EHS role.
