The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Newaygo that are seeking skilled EHS Managers. Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and company standards.
Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard analyses, and workplace inspections.
Manage and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees.
Investigate all EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management, air emissions, and wastewater discharge.
Lead and participate in internal and external EHS audits and management review meetings.
Recommended Qualifications
5-7+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Professional EHS certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM).
In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
Proven experience developing and implementing comprehensive EHS management systems and programs.
Bonus Qualifications
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification
Experience with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera)
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Experience implementing or maintaining ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems
