Job Summary We are seeking a professional, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our Central Office team. This position provides essential administrative support to the Human Resources Department and plays an important role in maintaining accurate records, supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, and assisting with daily HR operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, professionalism, and discretion while supporting a positive and responsive Human Resources office.

Responsibilities

Provide support to the Supervisor of Human Resources and the Human Resources Department to ensure efficient daily operations.

Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel, workers’ compensation, absence and electronic HR records in compliance with legal, state, and district requirements.

Serve as the primary point of contact for the Human Resources Department, responding professionally to inquiries from staff, applicants, and visitors.

Oversee recruitment and onboarding activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and collection of employment documentation.

Support Board of Education meeting preparation and documentation, including agendas, reports, and post-meeting follow-up materials as assigned.

Assist with the maintenance of HR databases, attendance tracking systems, substitute procurement systems, and compliance documentation, including background checks and clearances.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the Human Resources Department.

Requirements

A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated success in an administrative or human resources support role, or minimum experience as determined by the Board; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with district staff and external contacts.

Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Technical proficiency in Human Resources software and databases, including strong working knowledge of Excel and the Google web-based office suite.

Prior central office or school district experience preferred; ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion.

Salary Range:

$58,000.00 - $65,000.00
