Nashville, TN
is seeking a skilled
Maintenance Technician
to support production operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and utility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
preventive maintenance (PM)
and corrective repairs on production and facility equipment
Troubleshoot and repair
mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime
Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, belts, chains, and bearings
Support equipment setup, changeovers, and production startups
Perform basic
PLC, motor control, and HMI troubleshooting
Conduct welding and fabrication (mild steel and stainless steel) as needed
Maintain plant utility systems such as
boilers, compressors, and water systems
(as applicable)
Document work orders, PMs, and parts usage using a
CMMS
Follow all safety requirements including
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
and food safety standards
Support continuous improvement, 5S, and equipment reliability initiatives
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams
Required Qualifications
3+ years of
industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
Ability to read electrical schematics, technical manuals, and work instructions
Basic computer skills and experience using maintenance or work order systems
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to work flexible schedules, overtime, or weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in
food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing
Knowledge of
PLC systems, VFDs, and motor controls
Welding or fabrication experience
Associate degree or technical certification in
Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology
Boiler operator certification or utilities experience
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and moving machinery
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
