ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Lead Wind Turbine Technician to support the safe, reliable operation of our wind energy facilities. In this hands‑on leadership role, you will work alongside a team of skilled technicians to maintain wind turbines and site equipment, while supporting the Site Manager with planning, training, and day‑to‑day coordination. This position is ideal for an experienced Wind Technician ready to take the next step into leadership, with a strong focus on safety, technical excellence, and team development.

Job Description Key Responsibilities

Lead daily work planning to ensure maintenance activities align with the site maintenance plan

Support and train Wind Turbine Technicians in assembly, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance

Lead and assist with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on wind turbines and associated equipment

Train technicians on advanced preventative maintenance techniques (infrared, corona, ultrasonic surveys, etc.)

Conduct safety analyses and ensure compliance with electrical, mechanical, and site safety standards

Promote safe work practices, including proper use of PPE and energy control procedures

Perform and support root cause analysis for equipment failures

Monitor tools, consumables, and spare parts inventory

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Schedule and track preventative maintenance activities

Support ongoing training, certifications, and audits

Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Competencies About you:

High school diploma or equivalent (college or technical degree preferred)

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Wind Farm Technician

Ability to work with low, medium, and high‑voltage equipment (certification required)

Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Flexibility to work overtime, rotating shifts, and respond to emergencies

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb vertical ladders, and work at heights up to 300 feet

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and confined spaces

Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Ability to reach the wind farm within 45 minutes in case of emergency

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for training or support

Experience with J.D. Edwards and Maximo systems is a plus

Base Pay: $36 – $47 hourly (based on experience, education, and skillset)

10% Annual Performance Bonuses (Depending on individual performance, and Company metrics), 5% Availability bonus

On‑call pay
