Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine product designs, components, and assemblies using CAD software.
Conduct design analysis, simulations, and calculations to ensure product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to optimize designs for efficient production processes.
Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation processes, incorporating feedback into design iterations.
Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on design requirements, cost, and industry standards.
Identify and resolve design-related issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) for part and assembly design.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal) and material properties.
Demonstrated experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
Proven ability to analyze design requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective engineering solutions.
