The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing hands‑on support to the Dentist, completing preparation work to efficiently care for patients and assist during dental procedures. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent X‑Ray Certification (or completion within 6 months of hire) BLS Certification (or completion within 6 months of hire) Experience using computers for a variety of tasks. Good written and verbal communication skills. Consistently professional appearance and attitude. Able to provide great patient care. Preferred Qualifications
1year experience as a dental assistant. Candidates who do not meet all of the preferred qualifications are encouraged to apply. Significant Job Functions
Sterilization of dental instruments Taking alginate impressions Ability to take clear x‑ray films Document vitals and chief complaints in chart Document notes in chart Document treatment plan in chart Physical Effort/ Environment
The duties of this position are performed onsite at a Thundermist location. This position requires the use of fingers and hand manipulation using instruments and dental equipment. Onfeet most of the day. Work Schedule Demands
As determined with department hiring needs. Must be available for overtime, including nights and weekends, when necessary. Communication Skills
This position requires the ability to verbally communicate with patients. Confidentiality of Information
