Mid-Atlantic Wastewater Market Sector Lead
In the role of Mid-Atlantic Wastewater Market Sector Lead, we'll count on you to drive HDR's wastewater strategy for the Mid-Atlantic area and lead initiatives that advance our market position. Responsibilities
Develop and drive a long-range wastewater vision and strategy for HDR's Mid-Atlantic Area. Identify, develop, and implement wastewater marketplace initiatives. Collaborate with technical and marketing staff in pursuit of new projects; lead selected key pursuits. Serve as a client manager to select agencies. Collaborate with business class practice leaders and professional discipline groups to improve standards and practices; implement QA/QC reviews. Lead HDR’s wastewater branding in the Mid-Atlantic by engaging with professional organizations aligned to the wastewater market. Coordinate staffing and recruiting plans for key hires and assist leadership with technical or project management hires. Mentor staff and support the development of technical experts. Serve as Principal in Charge, Project Director, Project Manager, Technical Lead and/or Quality Manager on projects that may include studies, planning, design, financial analysis, O&M, and alternative delivery. Assist with contract review on key projects to ensure risk management, proper staffing, quality reviews, and resolution of claims. Ensure the best technology and solutions are integrated into project delivery. Preferred Qualifications
10+ years Wastewater leadership experience Professional Engineer licensed in DC, MD, and/or VA Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills Preference given to local candidates Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, planning or related field A minimum of 10 years of industry experience Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services Experience in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and program/project pursuits Experience in staff development including recruiting, career path and professional growth Experience with industry associations and maintains a visible market sector profile Ability to work cooperatively with Regional Market Sector Directors, Market Sector Directors, Business Class Directors, Regional Business Group Directors, Area Business Group Managers, Area Marketing Managers and Area Managers Demonstrated commitment to HDR values; active participation in our employee-owned culture is essential What We Believe
